The Issue: A municipal fire department faced serious problems:
- Slow response times;
- Mutual aid conflicts;
- High procurement costs;
- Lack of terrorism preparedness;
- Problems with minoritiy hiring; and
- Compounding this, morale was extremely low.
The municipality hired us to evaluate their effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
The SafirRosetti Solution: By deploying a team of four fire chiefs with over 100 years of combined experience, we were able to deliver recommendations on how to restructure senior management, adjust compensation and schedules, improve recruiting, decrease response time and improve community outreach.
The Result: Due to our work this locality now has a faster, more efficient and more cost-effective fire department. Additionally, by uncovering and halting unethical practices our recommendations have generated revenue for the city.
